Shadow Discovery

Tonight after putting pajamas on Meadow noticed the moving black thing on the wall behind her and exclaimed "what is that!". I had the absolute honor of getting to tell her its called a shadow, and it comes from the light shining on you. After attempts at poking and grabbing it, and seeing how fast we could make it "go", we decided to get our cameras and take pictures of it! Thank you Meadow for giving me these simple and unforgettable moments.

Meadow & Wren: BFF

Meadow Turns Two

Well our little baby girl isn't a baby anymore. She's officially crossed into toddlerdom. To celebrate her 2nd birthday she had a big party with all her other toddler friends, including a fishing pond with prizes, balloons, balls, tickles, playing in the yard, and a wonderful "baby cake" made by Mommy:

ABC, 123

This video is a bit out of date. She can actually now do the whole alphabet and count as high as 13. Also, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Stanley for teaching "ready or not, here I come!"

New Trike!

Tonight Meadow got her first trike! It took mommy and daddy a bit to get it optimized for her wee size, but in short order she was ready to roll. We just got back from a stroll on Basin Rd and introduced MJ to the concept of "steering". She's starting to get the hang!

Painting the Baby

Meadow likes having her toenails painted, and got it into her head today she wanted to paint her baby's toenails. She paid very precise attention to the painting of the toes, but then decided: "why stop there?"

Mo' Cheeeese

As you can see, Meadow is very good at saying "cheese" for the camera (once she gets all ready and in position).

More Weee!?

We found a small playground in the Place de Vosges just across the street from the flat where Victor Hugo lived. Meadow is a slide addict! She calls it the "weee" and now that she can string together more than two words was obsessively clamoring "mo' wee? mo' wee?". She's so smart. But not smart enough to recognize that Mommy and Daddy were freezing their wee arses off and wanted to find a nice warm cafe. I took this picture to demonstrate how advanced she is for her age: 6 year minimum? Fah!

Behwy Gieue

No, Meadow hasn't been brawling. She's been eating one of her favorite things ever: berries!
